Delsym (dextromethorphan) only unless: Delsym is a cough suppressant(dextromethorphan),claritin (loratadine) is an antihistamine(loratidine). If child has a non-productive cough it won't hurt to give cough suppressant so s/he can get better night's sleep.Make SURE you follow correct dosing instructions CAREFULLY.Why do you want to give antihistamine? I would avoid it unless the doctor recommended it.Have the doctor check your chidl'd cough.Hope bes
