Unlikely: A duplex draing system is unlikely to be the cause of the pain. See your urologist for another opinion. Ther eis a rare controversial condition of a pelvic kidney where you can tack the kidney further up high in the body and that will relieve kidney pain. However, it is very unlikely that this is your situation

Possibly: Duplex system not a problem as long as each ureter enters the bladder normally.If there is a ureterocele it ca obstruct the upper portion of the kidney.If there is vesico-ureteral reflux it causes urine to back up ureter.Flank pain is a symptom,also UTIs.Details of treatment rather long(low dose a-biotics,surgery...)depending on ur case but space limited.You need to be seen by urologist.Good luck.
