Dysfunctional bleed: This is not uncommon. It is easy to control with birth control pills if you think you need treatment and may disappear with the next period. If you are having irregular periods it means that you didn't ovulate that cycle and everything is screwed up. Keep a diary of your cycles so that when you see your doctor it will be clear what to do.
