I usually have complex partial seizures on the rt side. today it started on the lt hand, but numbness, weakness...etc on the rt. any reason for this?

Reasons...: If your description is accurate, you should let your neurologist know by phone or in person within the next few days. It may suggest the new appearance or unmasking of a second seizure focus on the opposite side (right hemisphere). If so, your clinical status needs to be reassessed in light of this new information. Neurologist may want to do another EEG.
