Use protection: If you do not know the status of your partner use a condom. Anyone can have or get HIV. You don't know what his sexual history is or possible prior exposures. Ask him if he has been tested and get tested yourself.

We have no idea: What your chances are. But in general you should be screened for all STDs when you've been with a new sexual partner of unknown status. You might never have heard an old slogan from the 80's. "Remember, when you have sex with someone, you are exposed to everyone they’ve had sex with before you."
