A member asked:

How long do the symptoms of shingles last for you?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

1-2 weeks: The rash that occurs with shingles usually lasts about 7-10 days before all the lesions dry up and begin to fall off. Lifelong scarring occasionally results. The pain associated with the rash usually lasts about 2 weeks but can persist for much longer (sometimes lifelong) in 10-15% of patients.
