A member asked:

Out of curiosity, has aspirin been linked to stevens-johnson syndrome?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Rarely, but yes: Nearly all of the non-selective NSAIDS have been implicated in Stevens-Johnson syndrome. They are cyclooxygenase inhibitors. But these reactions are very uncommon. 80% of this syndrome is caused by drugs and consists of a red to purple skin eruption progressing to bullae and necrosis of skin and sometimes mucous membrane. Treatment is with corticosteroids but long term use can aggravate.
