I've been having lower left abdominal pain, that comes and go's all day for about a week now. my monthly cycle is not due until aug 25. what is it ??

Lower abdominal pain: At your age the most likely thing would be an ovarian cyst, but you also have fibroids which could be a factor. If you are pregnant, you need to get checked. Other possibilities include kidney stone or some type of bowel problem.

?ovulation: Hi,At age 20: your pain in left lower abdomen started Aug.14,your period is due Aug.28. It is possible you may be having ovulation pain called Mittelschmerz (German for middle pain) or mid-cycle pain. This gets better w birth control pills. Other causes of this pain such as colonic problems are rare at age 20.Kidney stone pain is more severe.See yr doctor for careful history &Rx.Best wishes dear

ER: you could have multiple pelvic issues and should be evaluated in the ER. You will need a CTscan of your abdomen and pelvis. 1 week is just too long.

Could of things: Left lower abdominal pain is usually either due to a bowel issue, an ovarian issue or less likely a kidney stone that is in the left ureter. An ovarian cyst can cause this type of pain. However, if it doesn't go away soon or seems severe, you should get evaluated. That's the important point.
