Viral infection: The symptoms that you are describing can be a viral infection. Bed rest, lots of fluids. If you develop a fever or the symptoms get worse you should contact your doctor. Viruses are not treated with antibiotics, therefore no need for antibiotics unless you start noticing secretions that are green or yellow, or if you notice spots in your throat that are white or yellowish
