Antibiotics: Antibiotics should be prescribed by your dentist and taken if you have an infection... they are not painkillers. Your toothache my be due to a vital tooth; if that is the case, they are useless. An infected tooth requires more than the antibiotic.. root canal therapy is usually indicated. One glass of wine should not be problematic.

Moderation: A small amount of wine will not interfere with your antibiotic, but it's not a good idea to mix alcohol, antibiotics, and pain killers. Antibiotics will not cure toothache, but will limit spread of infection as long as you are taking the medication. The tooth needs physical treatment, probably root canal treatment or extraction. Make sure you see your Dentist before the antibiotics run out.
