Sounds normal: A normal menstrual period can happen plus or minus a few days of when you expect it. That doesn't mean anything is wrong. Cramping and brown-looking blood may simply be the beginning of your period. Best wishes!

Likely: But if any chance you are pregnant, best to check home pregnancy test on first morning urine and if negative repeat in 7-10 days. If positive, need Gyn eval. Hope this helps. Best of luck Dr R
