A member asked:

In supine position my heart-rate is 43 bpm, when i stand up my hr jumps to 88 bpm then drops to about 70 bpm a minute later. is this considered pots?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Heart rate: While the changes in the heart rate is impressive, would not jump to the conclusion that this is POTS. There is usually some changes when one changes position from lying to standing. However with POTS there is also many other symptoms associated with this. This is best evaluated by your doctor.
