Follow up with your primary care physician if you suspect syphilis, as this ailment can progress to a very severe infection quickly if not treated.

Usually not: The sexually transmitted disease that usually shows as blisters is herpes. Syphilis usually causes an ulcer, gonorrhea causes a discharge/painful urination. However, all STD"s can be silent and have no symptoms. All can have various presentations. If you have had unprotected sex, get checked for all of them and for pregnancy. STD's run in bad company, and you can get more than 1 at a time.
