A bit: stress reactions cause internal steroids and other hormones to go up. this allows the brain and heart to use sugar faster, but if prolonged reaction and lower levels occur, then the other cells wont want the sugar and therefore sugar will be kept in the blood stream. can lead to prediabetes and even diabetes. other factors like diet and lack of exercise also considered
