When you are getting your blood drawn for the gluclose, where is the blood drawn from?

Two Ways: There are two ways to check your blood glucose. One way is that they can do a finger stick, with a small needle at the tip of one of your fingers, and they then process that blood on the glucometer in the office for an instant result. The second way is by doing a full blood draw from a vein in your arm and sending that blood off to the lab to be evaluated. Take care.

A Vein: A blood glucose test is a common test that is performed by taking a sample of blood from your vein (usually the arm). The levels can be affected by many things, so make sure when you get the test you follow your doctors instructions or it can mess up the results.
