Yes...: You can potentially be pregnant if you are having sex. If your period is late, take a pregnancy test. If it is negative, and you don't get your period for a week - repeat the test. At that time, I would recommend an appointment with your GYN. Mild cramping is normal both before menses and early pregnancy so that doesn't indicate pregnancy necessarily.
