See a doc!: You are in the perfect age group to get testicular cancer. This isn't usually painful, but it can be and it needs to be ruled out right away. Another possibility is torsion, where the testicle gets twisted. This can be an emergency and make you sterile. See a doctor right away for an ultrasound, which is painless. If those things are ruled out, it could be an infection, inflammation or a hernia.
