Anovulatory Cycle: Especially in pre-menopausal women during peri-menopause, there begin to be anovulatory cycles and irregular periods. Try retesting in one week. Then if it continues, see your OB-Gyn or primary care doctor for lab checks of LH/FSH, prolactin, and thyroid hormones, etc.

Missed period: Having anovulatory cycles are not unusual at age 44. It is possible that similar situation can occur down the road.
