Local nerve?: It's hard to say. The chin is a small area and your symptoms are not persistent. Tingling often indicates tickling of a nerve, as when our foot or hand "falls asleep". Perhaps there is a little irritation in the branch nerve supplying sensation to your chin. It is not often that this symptom indicates something serious.
