Missing information: A petit mal seizure is also known as an absence seizure. A person with petit mal seizures may look perfectly fine and be taking in information and then just blank out for a period of time. The person may not realize they had a blank space but in fact they missed whatever occurred in that space that they blanked out. So yes petit mal seizures can affect learning by missing critical information.
