DUB: It could be dysfunctional uterine bleeding that often is caused by hormonal changes with stress. If it continues to be a problem or is associated with pain or fever, it could be a pelvic infection. Please see your doctor if it happens again or if you are due for a screening PAP smear anyway to rule out infection and other causes of bleeding.

Vaginal bleeding: Vaginal bleeding can be caused by a number of processes, both normal and abnormal. If the blood is dark, it could be leftover blood from your period. But it may also be a sign of a condition related to the uterus, cervix, or vagina. It is best to have a gynecological exam to best identify the source of this bleeding if it continues.
