Possibly: You are diabetic, and if your diabetes is not well controlled, it could affect the healing of all kinds of wounds, even surgical scars. See your doctor and be sure diabetes is well controlled. Good luck!

Difficult question: this is a difficult question to answer because significantly delayed healing can be a sign of something more serious. If you believe you're healing is significantly longer than your peers then you should go see a doctor for a complete evaluation. in the meantime keep a journal with photographs, and timelines of any injuries and bring it to your appointment.
