Age old question: What's the secret? You ask difficult questions. No easy answer. But here are a couple of suggestions. It is said that 2 medium sized apples 30-60 min. before a meal can help reduce appetite by as much as 30% due to the presence of PECTIN in the SKIN OF THE APPLE which tends to turn ON a place in the brain called the SATIETY CENTER. Also, REMOVE 1/3 the amount of food from a plate you make to eat.

Hard w/o more info: Dr. Saghafi referred your ? to me - I hope I can add to his good thoughts. You don't say if you're bulimic or overweight or have some illness or take meds, so... But if it really is only some taste you crave, flavored waters exist. And, water is a great idea anyway. Cravings can mean a real deficit, so you might want some lab work to discover that. A talk therapist may help find an emotional need.
