What meds can help with symptoms of borderline personality disorder?

Several: Although the primary treatment for bpd is psychotherapy, many kinds of meds can ease symptoms. Antidepressants (esp ssris) are often used for depression & anxiety. Buspar, (buspirone) beta-blockers, antihistamines, & benzodiazepines can help anxiety. Neuroleptics can calm severe agitation. Mood stabilizers can decrease mood swings. The trick is not to overdo meds & create side effects (ie, more problems).
