Visible to the eye: Pubic lice are usually evident through the intense itching and skin irritation they cause. They are spread through sexual contact from an infected partner or through clothing/linens from an infested area. Treatment is by delousing the body/clothes/linens and treating the different life stages of the lice as well as reducing risk of reinfestation by cleaning the environment well. Get checked.

May/May not be Lice: Pubic lice are small (1-2 mm), brownish, crab-like appearing found in pubic hairs; seen easily with a magnifier. Lice are transmitted sexually, causing pubic area & anogenital itching. Pinworms can also be found in genital area & are small whitish thread-like. Symptoms can be similar to pubic lice. Treatment is relatively simple for both. See your doctor for correct diagnosis & treatment.
