Brown discharge: Brown discharge about halfway between your periods can be normal mid-cycle ovulatory bleeding. When blood sits in the uterus for a while, it turns brown. If this resolves in a day or two and there are no other problems (no fever, no pelvic pain, no pain on urination), it is okay to wait and watch. It can happen again mid-cycle, so it would be helpful to keep a calendar to monitor the pattern.
