Get tested!: It is absolutely possible to have a sexually transmitted infection but have no obvious symptoms. Some infections can have very serious complications even if you do not have symptoms. If you have had any unprotected intimate contact, you may be at risk for infection. Please see your doctor for testing if you are concerned.

Get a urine test: Nowadays a quick first morning urine sample can screen you for the most common causes even if you have no symptoms. If you are sexually active, please use condoms to protect yourself and others until you have been screened (and good practice thereafter). Good to also get a blood test for HIV, syphilis and hepatitis C. Good to know your status and also to protect yourself!

If you don't have: symptoms, unlikely to have an STD. There are a few STDs that don't necessarily cause symptoms (HIV for one). If you are sexually active and at risk for STDs discuss with your doctor regarding testing. Always practice safe sex.
