May take a while : It can sometimes take up to 2yrx for regular menstruation to return after depo-provera use. It can be difficult to predict when ovulation will occur and so if you do not desire pregnancy it is prudent to use condoms or an alternate form of contraception.

Wait: Depoprovera shot lasts about 12 weeks so you probably have absent periods even after the drug was stopped. Assuming you are not pregnant you will have to wait. In the meantime you will need protection in some form until your periods resumes. You should check with the doctor who first wrote the Rx
