Depo shots: Most users of Depo-Provera stop menstruating altogether after a year. Depo can cause persistent infertility for up to 22 months after the last injection, although the average is 10 months. It's up to you whether you want to take the chance that you'll recover fairly quickly. The likelihood is that it will not cause permanent infertility.
