A member asked:

Will an unrefrigerated urine sample cause an etg test to test false positive?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: ETG detects a metaboloite of alcohol. The modification occurs in the liver. If glucose is present in the urine that could get fermented into alcohol, but not into Etg as that requires an action by the liver.
