Gasteroentritis: You are possibly having a gasteroentritis, infection of stomach/bowel. Stay hydrated, drink gatorade to replace the water and electrolyte you are losing, if you develop blood in diarrhea, fever or didn't get better in a day see a doctor.

Gastroenteritis: Could be viral gastroenteritis, in which case rest and drink plenty of fluids, but if the diarrhea becomes bloody, the pain in the back worsens, or the fever continues to rise, or you begin vomiting, it would be prudent to see your primary care physician for evaluation and treatment. Hope you feel better soon.

Whoa!: If you're 41 & pregnant you need to contact your OB ASAP for advice. If not, it depends on the duration of your symptoms. If less than 3 days and you're drinking enough liquids (gatorade, clear juices & water are good choices), watchful waiting is OK. If your symptoms last more than 3 days or are getting worse, or if new symptoms develop, seek medical care.
