Suspected only: Leukemia frequently detected in a routine blood test, before symptoms begin. One may find signs suggesting leukemia such as pale skin from anemia and swelling of your lymph nodes, liver and spleen. Conformation by blood tests. Your doctor can determine if you have abnormal levels of white blood cells or platelets — which may suggest leukemia. Bone marrow test may additionally be recommend.

You don't.: There are some physical findings with leukemia but they are also seen in other disorders. The way to diagnose leukemia is with testing of blood and or bone marrow.
