Sex: Hi, I don't believe these 2 are related at all. She might have caught an infection so she better sees a doctor if she really have a documented fever.

Possible infection: To me this would suggest a release of bacteria into the system such as from infected tubes or urinary tract. If the reaction was more delayed or you had oral sex then this could be the source of bacteria, but that would take some time to develop. I doubt that a release of environmental toxins from the uterus would be involved, but unlikely, especially if you have sex regularly.
