what is the chance of me being pregnant if i had sex a week before getting my first birth control shot?

Hard to say: Conception is likely to occur within the first days after sex, if you ovulated and conditions are favorable. A BC shot a week later would not alter the chance you conceived, but might prevent the egg from implanting and continuing through pregnancy. You will know in a month or so.
