Maybe a UTI : Your urinary symptoms and kidney pain may be due to a urinary tract infection. This is not connected to your period. I would see your doctor to get your urine tested for infection. Also, staying well hydrated and drinking cranberry juice may help flush out your urinary tract. Good luck and feel better soon.

Kidney pain: Pain in the flank area does is not necessarily originate in the kidneys. Most often , pain in that area is due to muscular discomfort. The urinary tract is equipped with "valves" that prevent the back flow four one into the kidneys during urinarion.
