Soft spot dynamics: The soft spot is basicly a window into the water baloon that protects the brain and spinal cord, with a cushion of water, against the effect of movement. Sit a kid upright and the soft spot flattens, lay them flat or upside down & they tend to pooch out. With hold fluid the dehydrated kid will sink in further in any position.
