When can i take pregnancy test? my period is 3 days late

Pregnant?: The over the counter pregnancy (urine) tests generally take 5-6 weeks to become positive. However, the industry always has newer products. Ask your local pharmacy if they have a product that can detect pregnancy earlier. A blood test, which can be ordered by a physician can be positive as soon as you miss your period
