Likely harmless: If your are in good health and having no other symptoms of illness, then this is probably nothing to worry about. Possibly had some minor trauma to the hand that went unnoticed. Diseases that can cause bleeding from capillaries in the skin invariably cause other symptoms of illness as well. But see your doctor if you're concerned.
