Not to worry: Bleeding right after birth is completely normal and is called lochia.It is heaviest in the first few days following delivery and slowly tapers off and thins out over an average of 1 month but can last up to 6-8 weeks.Normal menstruation typically returns around 45-64 days postpartum and ovulation resumes ranging anywhere from 45-94 days after birth but can occur as early as 25 days postpartum

Depends: It is normal to bleed for awhile after a delivery whether is is vaginal or c-section. If you are breast feeding, ovulation is delayed . This is true until you start supplementing with formula. you can ovulate, if not breast feeding as soon as 1 month after delivery. You pre-pregnancy cycle regularity also makes a difference
