Trigger finger: can respond to ice if it is painful and swollen in the palm. Miil heat if it is stiff and locking without swelling, massage of the palm, topical anti-inflammatories placed in the palm and gentle not forceful range of motion, How ever the clinical presentation or severity of trigger finger varies a lot i.e. they are not all the same. If one tries these and fails see a hand doctor
