Why can i not tan in the sun?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Good question: Because you can't! But seriously, it's because you don't have the cells in your skin that can darken with repeated exposure to sunlight. And that's an important (but not perfect) defense against aging skin and skin cancer So if you can't tan, stay out of the sun, keep covered and use sun block or a combination of these. If you don't like vitamin D supplements then 15-20 minutes of sun a day's enough
