Emotion regulation: Difficult to say without more history, but it sounds like masturbation is what you do to manage unpleasant, difficult to digest feelings. CBT can help e.g. label the behavior (I am doing this to manage my feelings) and find alternative behaviors to self-sooth. You can also stop and reflect - what am I feeling now? etc. You can try to figure out how and when you started masturbating this way.

Masturbation: Masturbation is a normal and common part of the human experience. There are no negative health consequences to this sexual activity. Why do you need to stop? No doctor would tell you to stop.

Avoidance behaviors: People often use coping skills in times of stress. Because of your high libido, yours may be sexually related. It sounds like masturbation is an escape for you. Patients in this and similar situations often benefit from talking to a therapist to work on developing new skills to identify and manage your feelings rather than avoiding them.
