Timing of blood draw: hormones such as aldosterone and testosterone are secreted in a circadian fashion and in the case of aldosterone in response to whether you are lying down, sitting or standing. Sodium is a good measure of adequate water balance and sodium concentration in the body. A single aldosterone and testosterone level without addressing posture and timing in the day is of little value

Easy: Physiology is deeper than we can explain at the undergraduate level. Water follows sodium and the body does everything it can to protect its osmolarity. You don't simply pee out all your sodium even if you tend to lose because you're on an aldosterone blocker, taking a diuretic, or whatever. Be thankful for this.
