Depends: The small window in your cycle that enables you to conceive is determined by your hormone levels which control when you ovulate. This can be different for everyone. You can take ovulation tests to determine when you are ovulating and when to have sex for your best chance at conceiving. Often this is around day 14. Give it at least a week of not starting your period, then take a pregnancy test.

Take a home test: If your period is late, test yourself for pregnancy. If you are sexually active, the chances of conceiving are greater in the middle of your cycle when you ovulate. But every woman is different. You could get pregnant anytime. See you doctor if your symptoms last over 3-5 days.

Egg + sperm: conception could potentially happen as soon as the egg is present for fertilization. Ovulation usually occurs mid-cycle (or about day #14). If late for period (or just spotted), check home pregnancy test.
