Alleregy: You have Allergic Rhinitis symptoms. When you are asleep, nasal discharge accumulates , your threshold for any routine activities are set high in sleep . Once awake you have these symptoms. You may want to take Antihistaminics at night or Nasalide nose spray. Also try to see if there is pet, mite, Air filter, Carpet, Flowers, soap, spray you are sensitive to and avoid it if you can to improve.

Likely allergy: You likely have allergy - could due to pollen, down in your pillow, etc. Usually steroid nasal spray would help, but need to use use it regularly for at least a week. If you keep your window open, pollen counts are highest in the morning, consider keeping you windows closed. Sometime AC or central ventilation system filters may have to be changed (look for hypoallergenic ones)

Allergic: You are allergic to something in your bedroom or if you are sleeping with an open window, pollen may be blowing in from the outside. Make sure you have an hypoallergenic pillow and make sure you are sleeping with a closed window
