Leg swelling: various possibilities of course, but most young women with unilateral leg swelling will require an ultrasound to rule out deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Risk factors include estrogens, smoking, immobility (long flights), recent surgeries etc... if you have any chest pain or shortness of breath, go to the ER. Otherwise, get your ultrasound through your doctor or if severe, go to nearest ER.
