A member asked:

What can cause a child (a girl) get cystitis pretty much yearly, sometimes even twice a year?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: Urinary infections in girls/women are not uncommon and if treated promptly are usually harmless. If the infections are related to sex, make sure you pee immediately after sex. Drink enough water to keep urine dilute. Please consult your doctor to have a standing prescription so that you can start the medication at the first sign of infection. See this site given below for more info.
