Rarely: A 'scalp cyst' is almost always benign. It is usually treated with removal if it is ruptured, infected, or greater than 2 inches. If your physician is following you, they can make sure that you get the appropriate management. Just remember that is a mistake to assume that these commonly become cancer because they do not.
