A few years: Your age and liver biopsy from 2012 suggest that you have early disease. If your SGOT/SGPT and viral load are not excessively high, then progression will be measured in years. The new treatments for HCV are oral, do not use interferon and much more effective. Many new options will be released in 2015 or 2016, so waiting until then should be safe for you, but keep under the watch of your doctor.
