Post delivery: Most commonly after delivery when bleeding is continuous as your question implies, the cause is retained material from the placenta. See your healthcare provider for advice and probably an ultrasound of the womb. If present, the retained fragments may require a "D and C", which is a scraping of the inside of your womb, and is curative.
